Aunque se adelantó la Juve, gran partido del Bar¢a, con un soberbio Goicoechea. Por aquel entonces, y sobre todo en aquella temporada, estuvo al nivel de Balón de Oro, al menos en el podium. Máxime cuando no participaban los jugadores no europeos.
