Very important match in Poland because of political reasons (it was just after 1980/1981 Solidarity movement in Poland which of course Soviet Union was against) and during martial law. I think if Poles would lose this match, it would be something like national tragedy. I think you can see this pressure and emotions in faces and body language of Polish players but they played really good match. Interesting thing is that the closest player to score a goal was Waldemar Matysik who mosly played as stricte defensive midfielder.
Impressive Poland. Constantly counter-attacking, and making the Soviets unable to establish any real pressure.
