I remember reading a full article about this game, and that it marked an end of generation, the France 1978-1986 generation. France didn't qualify to Euro 88 and it was the end for many of the great stars of this team. Also, I remember the talk that this USSR team (kinda of the Dynamo Kiev team) was the start of the new age of football, great dynamics, strong team work with strong physiques, discipline and pressure the whole game. It was nice finally watch the full game, and not just few minutes highlights.
