Actually this is the first leg match that has been replayed. The initial 1st leg had been played on 20th of October 1971 and had finished 7:1 for Gladbach. The match is known as Büchsenwurfspiel / la Partita della Lattina or The Match Of The Can. When the score is 2:1 the game is interrupted as Boninsegna from Inter lies on the ground hit in the head by a Coca-Cola can thrown from the crowd. After 7 minutes of chaos the referee decides to continue the game and Boninsegna is substituted due to the incident. The Italian footballers are completely sure that UEFA will grant them a 3:0 victory. After reviewing the complaints from both sides UEFA decides that this match has to be re-played at a neutral location in West-Berlin even after the 2nd leg in Milano on November 3rd. The above mentioned Coca-Cola can initially had been taken to the referee's home country Netherlands where it had been donated to Vitesse's museum. 40 years later Mönchengladbach asks Vitesse to send them the can and now it can be seen as an exhibit in the museum of Borussia in Gladbach.
You're right. It was scheduled to be the first leg, but it ended up being the second because it was re-played after the original second leg had already been played. And therefore, the order of the matches was switched and this turned into the second leg. Thank you for the context! We've added some clarifying information.
Wloka was the N°14 in that game.
You're right! Fixed! Thanks for pointing it out :-)
